Cider Maker’s Description
Winesap apples are one of America's oldest cultivars, dating as far back as the late 1700s. Settlers prized the "Wine-sap" for its versatility, its long storage life, and (of course) for making cider. This single-varietal cider presents Winesaps as nature intended: dry and refreshing, with hints of buttery cocoa, lychee, and honey. Enjoy on its own, or paired with pork, cheese, spicy thai, or charcuterie.Appearance:
- light haze, golden color
Carbonation:
- swirl produces full 1/8" coverage of small bubbles that disappear quickly
Aromas:
- apple skins, earthy, forest soil
Taste:
- true to the apple, grass, lightest hint of funk
Mouthfeel:
- tannic, astringent, moderate acidity
Finish:
- long and drying
