Cider Maker’s Description

This tropical fruit is indigenous to South America. In the wild, pineapple plants can yield fruit for up to 50 years. Pineapple cores contain high levels of bromelain, an enzyme which can be used to tenderize meats. The sweet and tart qualities of this fruit balance well against the natural acidity of freshly pressed apples.

Appearance:

  • light haze, pale yellow

Carbonation:

  • low to moderate, good coverage when pouring, almost fill coverage when swirling

Aromas:

  • pineapple, citrus, earthy

Taste:

  • pineapple isn't overpowering, green apple, citrus

Mouthfeel:

  • low to moderate acidity, no tannins

Finish:

  • quick clean finish

Tasting Notes / General Impression

this drinks a little lighter in body than many other pineapple ciders, very refreshing, I like that apple flavors are still present
