Review: Spruced Glider Cider by Colorado Cider Company

Sweetness: Semi-Dry

ABV: 6.00%

Cider Maker’s Description

We've taken our classic Glider Cider and "spruced" it up with fresh Colorado Blue Spruce and Engelmann Spruce Tips.

A little honey to back sweeten and we've made a fine winter cider for those cold nights by the fire. This cider can be enjoyed well into the spring and could even be a summer favorite (not restricted to the holiday season...)

Appearance:

  • Semi-clear, light yellow color

Carbonation:

  • Moderate carbonation but bubbles did not linger long

Aromas:

Taste:

  • Similar to hopped ciders but with hints of gin

Tasting Notes / General Impression

Cool and Crisp. A very unique cider that I'd like to sample again.

Matthew favors dry hard ciders with body and leans towards traditional English styles, and he’s also developed a serious appreciation for hopped ciders and creative flavor infused ciders. Though he prefers sweets in solid forms, he does enjoy semi-sweet to sweet ciders responsibly when the mood strikes. Learn more about our Chief Cider Curator here.
